An idea, first
No project leaves strategy without one clear idea. Craft is how we deliver it — never a substitute for not having one.
Lumari has been independent since the day it opened in 2014 — no holding company, no network, no one but the client to answer to.
Naomi Kessler started Lumari in 2014 with one belief and one rule. The belief: most brands are forgettable because their agencies are cautious. The rule: stay small enough that the people who pitch the work are the people who make it.
Eleven years on, both still hold. Lumari is a single studio in Shoreditch — strategists, designers, directors and producers in one room — and we have turned down the chance to become a bigger, blander version of ourselves more than once. We grow by taking on better work, not more of it.
That independence is the client's advantage. No network markup, no account layer, no creative diluted on its way through six approvals. What we pitch is what we make.
No project leaves strategy without one clear idea. Craft is how we deliver it — never a substitute for not having one.
The people who win the work do the work, and stay on the account. You will never be handed to a team you have not met.
If an idea isn't landing, we say so. A good agency tells a client the uncomfortable thing before the market does.
